ANZAC DAY POST

All the people who took their lives and saved people.

Nervous and scared mum's and dad's let their children go to war.

Zestful soldier's told the people a different age that they weren't.

After war their mum's and dad's were so so sad, cause they lost their children.

Coming home was a long trip because they were traumatised and lost their friends and family.

  1. Maia, I really love this poem. You have thought carefully about all the people involved in wars and how they might have felt. Mum

  2. Wow, Maia, what an emotional poem. You have really thought about what it was really like for people to go to war. I like how you also thought about what it was like for the families left behind. Do you think it is still like this today for families of soldiers?

  3. Hi Maia, I really like your ANZAC acrostic poem too. It made me think about how hard it was for those Mums and Dads saying good bye to their young sons and wondering if they would ever see them again. It must have been so hard for them coming home after such an experience! Keep up the great writing and sharing Maia.
